4G63 CC Lancer GLXi This car started as a 4G93 SOHC 1.8 NA powered GLXi Lancer. It was then fitted with a 4G63 DOHC Turbo motor from a VR4 Galant front cut.
The motor standard makes 157kw and runs 8psi (54kpa) of boost. With the factory ECU, and the above mentioned specs, the car ran a 14.5s/400m at 99mph with boost on 8psi. Standard sensors were retained. A 3-bar MAP sensor was fitted. The ECU was mounted in the glove box and a completely new loom (2m) was run to each individual component. Ecu file and Implementation Notes. This ECU file is very well tuned. It has precice fueling with agressive timing. Do not run this with more than stock boost, as it is not tuned higher than that! |

Mazda 121 DB, B5 DOHC + Turbo ("Becky")The principal Adaptronic test vehicle (the Mazda 121) has now been turbocharged. The turbocharger conversion was performed by TX Motorsports in Toronto (NSW). The parts were supplied by Adaptronic and fitted by TX. TX also made the exhaust manifold. The engine is a Jap-import Mazda B5 DOHC engine. The turbocharger is a T2 item, which is quite small. The turbo version retains the 2" exhaust from the NA 1.5L conversion. These two items combined seem to be limiting the power in the higher rev range. The engine runs 400cc/minute injectors (ex Mazda F2-turbo engine). The factory fuel pump (from the 1.3L) and fuel pressure regulator (from the 1.5L) seem to be handling the increased fuel flow. The ignition system has been upgraded with twin coil packs running a wasted spark configuration, with a 0.8mm plug gap. A narrowband heated oxygen sensor sits on the dump pipe. Currently, the boost is controlled by the wastegate only. Dyno charts are shown on the left. Click for larger image. At her first outing in turbocharged form (at WSID, 2005-10-05), the best time she managed was 15.191 seconds. There was a fair amount of wheelspin which is still to be controlled. |

Sprinter, 4AGE 20-valve This one was installed by Anthony Kellam, our distributor in Brisbane. The ECU file supplied here is one that we're told started and ran the engine, however it is by no means properly tuned. It also uses TPS rather than MAP, so the idle mixtures will not be controlled very well for a street car. |

Formula SAE, GSXR-600This was the 2005 entry to the Formula SAE competition from Sydney University. It used the Suzuki GSXR-600 motorcycle engine, and ran the standard triggering system. TPS, MAT, and MAP sensors were added. The engine breathes through single throttle and a 20mm restrictor (in accordance with the rules of the competition). We're told the car weighs about 216 kg. The car was tuned by Andy Wyatt on the Dumar Auto Technics dyno at Berowra. Unfortunately we don't have the ECU file as it was tuned with the university's laptop. |

Suzuki Swift Gen 5This vehicle was a Rally Edition of the 05 Suzuki Swift, with an aftermarket turbo and intercooler. The factory ECU was retained and the installation done as a piggyback to avoid problems with CAN and the auto transmission. The wiring and setup were performed by Adaptronic, then the car was tuned by Ric Shaw at Ric Shaw Rotary in Five Dock. |

Mazda RX7 Series 5The factory ECU was retained and the installation done as a piggyback to allow the factory ECU to do control oil metering. The wiring and setup were performed by Adaptronic, then the car was tuned by Ric Shaw at Ric Shaw Rotary in Five Dock. |
