Car Preparation at Boost Bitz
Data Acquisition
Boost Bitz (www.boostbitz.com.au) is helping us install the sensors and making the brackets for the World Time Attack Challenge 2011. The sensors that will be added are Suspension Travel (all 4 wheels), Wheel speed (all 4 wheels), Steering angle, Multiple air temperature, Oil temperature, and Fuel pressure.

In addition, EGT sensors and wideband lambda sensors have already been added, and we will use the factory oil pressure sensor.
All sensor inputs will be fed into the e1280s ECU, and the Race Technology DL1 datalogger will receive data from the ECU as well as some sensors directly. The DL1 also has GPS track mapping and the video recording will record data synchronised with the video taken from the 2 cameras, which will provide us with great feedback from the race track.

Other Car Preparation
BoostBitz is also assisting greatly by preparing the car for the track by fabricating heat shields, a surge tank and providing and fitting a blow off valve. As Ric Shaw advised, without the heat shields we’d come back after a few laps with an engine mount dripping out from under the car and our brake fluid boiling, so heat shielding is very important.
BoostBitz also chose and provided the turbo, intercooler and wastegate.
BoostBitz specialises in JDM performance parts, fitting and tuning, especially Nissan Silvia / 200SX, Skyline, Toyota Supra and Mazda RX7.
